Principal DSP System Engineer

Responsibilities

As the lead of DSP / systems team, you will be working with the analog lead, digital lead to lead the system level design of the data path in the products. You will be responsible for driving system architecture choices, system modeling, signal processing algorithm design, simulation, optimization and guiding implementation.

  • System level modeling including impairments
  • Deriving system level specifications based on product requirements
  • Developing signal processing algorithm, driving block level specs
  • System level performance optimization

Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D in electrical engineering with minimum 5 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in wireless or highspeed wireline communication systems
  • Strong background in digital communication theory and channel modeling
  • Experience designing a complete DSP-based communication system
  • Proficient in Matlab / C or other programming language
  • Good communication skills

Additional Helpful Qualifications

  • Understanding of FEC coding theories
  • Understanding of mixed-signal design tradeoffs
  • Good understanding of Embedded firmware architecture and design
  • Verilog RTL design experience helpful
